WORK EXPERIENCE

2016 – Present • MUNRO SHOES

Design Director
Provide design direction and oversight for all projects, including the development of Younger, New product and materials to communicate the company mission and vision effectively. Monitor and control budgets for supplies in linebuilding. Partner with business leaders, engineers, and pattern makers to ensure consistency and alignment with design language. Communicate priorities, timelines, and accountabilities to ensure efficient use of resources and promote a productive team. Strategize, organize, and coordinate seasonal matrixes, trends, design, prototypes, and costing meetings. Collaborate with Engineering department for tannage selection, and development of new leathers.

  • Achieved significant reduction in costs by designing and delivering efficient technical packages for all domestic and sourced products.

  • Earned repeat business by elevating satisfaction and retention of large retail clients through exceptional product experience, while addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues professionally and courteously.

  • Successfully boosted revenue generation and profitability by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities through designing consumer focused product, relationship building and networking with large retail clients such as Nordstrom and Zappos.

  • Established a cohesive visual identity across the entire footwear collection with a functional comfort construction, including graphics & shared details, resulting in enhancing awareness and recognition at the retail level.

  • Delivered Collections that sold over 1 Million pairs each

Lead Designer/Senior Designer, Timberland

  • Contributed to business growth; elevated revenue of women’s line from $13M to $50M by introducing .5M+ pairs annually.

  • Designed the first removable chassis system for Timberland; patented “Smart Comfort.”

  • Promoted an aesthetic image, detailing a story for women casual, this line-building process was adopted by men’s casual.

  • Successfully redesigned the entire line-building process across all design categories, evolving from an “item replacement” mindset, to collection.

Designer Women’s Footwear, G.H.Bass & Co

  • Created and delivered high-quality designs for retail stores ($250M) and wholesale business firms.

  • Successfully turned around a declining Bass Canvas business to profitable, by providing design leadership and strategic direction.

  • Increased product sales from 30,000 to over 450,000 within the first year; introduced a vulcanized sandal footbed collection with sell-through of 1-1.5 million pairs; collections included: T Sandal, Camo Sandal, T-shirt, SUV series, and silhouette ‘Marelli’.

Designer, Athleisure Footwear, Converse

  • Created designs for a $200M athleisure category; researched domestic and international market trends; collaborated with trend forecasters; developed color, concept, and trend boards.

  • Designed “A-Train” in men’s street casuals; sold 1.5 million pairs in the first year. Total 15 million pairs within 3 years all genders

  • Created first line of designs, widely featured in television and print media; C* collection reinvigorated one-star sales and sold into a federated chain; enabled the brand to receive the first invitation to pre-line at Macy’s flagship store.
